The European Wound Management Association (EWMA) and EWMA Innovation Alliance (EIA) proudly recognises the startup company Ship of Theseus for their innovative solution, the HOXA3M patch, intended for use on diabetic and chronic wounds.

During EWMA Innovation Forum the founding CEO Jeremy Elser, received the prize of 10.000 euros.

Kirsi Isoherranen, President of EWMA says: The prize honours solutions which has the potential to increase the quality and effectiveness of wound care and improve the quality of wound care for the patients. Based on these criteria Ship of Theseus is a very well-deserved winner of the EWMA Innovation Competition 2024.

Mitch Sanders, one of the judges of the competition and CEO at ProDevLab sponsoring EWMA Innovation Forum, says: It is crucial to facilitate the development and uptake of new and better solutions into clinical use, as chronic and hard-to-heal wounds are a silent, but very serious burden on societies, labelled earlier by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global epidemic. Ship of Theseus has developed a drug asset with a strong potential for an early-stage investment and subsequent commercialization.
