EWMA Innovation Competition 2025: Pre-Screening for Innovative Projects Now Open
The annual EWMA Innovation Competition aims to support start-ups and spin-outs within wound healing, helping them bring their solutions to market for the benefit of patients.
We are seeking approaches that have the potential to improve the quality of wound care while lowering the cost and complexity of providing services to patients.
Who Can Participate:
– European start-ups established in 2019 or later
– European companies close to their first market entry
– Previous contestants with significant developments in their business case
– Non-European companies within the above categories wishing to enter Europe for purposes such as clinical trials
The Process:
The pre-screening involves a 30-minute introductory meeting with the EWMA Innovation Team. An NDA will be signed in advance. If needed, KOLs will provide expert input on the clinical relevance of a solution.
Successful pre-screened participants will be invited to join the Innovation Competition, which will be open for proposals in Q4 2024. A pitching slot will be reserved for the EWMA Innovation Forum on March 27, 2025, in Barcelona.
Participation in the Innovation Competition requires attendance at the EWMA Innovation Forum.
Proposals will be evaluated in advance by an expert innovation committee composed of representatives from established wound care companies, investors, clinical key opinion leaders, health economy experts, and regulatory experts.
